Random day off #5

I literally cannot believe that I’m saying this. UNT decided to cancel school AGAIN yesterday. And I found out at 6 in the morning. What a great wakeup call.  Sure, we had about an inch of snow & remained below freezing but I didn’t think it was bad. Apparently the administration did.

Ironically, at some point you begin to hate having random days off because it cause much of an inconvenience to everything I do. It has left me & my boss with so much delays in work that we are attempted to show up for work on the weekends, too. But no, I won’t do that because I still want spend the weekend at home.

Despite my urgency with work/school, I didn’t get much work done because I woke up feeling a little ill. I spent all day eating healthy stuff, taking tons of vitamin C (solid & liquid form), & taking a nice hot bath. I particularly loved the bath part, which I am enjoying more & more these days. It’s very stress-relieving; you should try. If you are a germaphobe like me, the only thing you would need to get over is the…germ that might be in the water & a willingness to stay in that water for quite a while. :)

Of course I have attempted to read hundreds of pages that I am behind, but it feels like slow-motion picture at the moment. Although I find it intriguing to read about the difference in organizational models between business & high ed structure. It takes me back to learning everything about business organizational theories at Texas Tech. Never thought that these theories would come back as a main theme for a higher ed class.

Time to be reading some more of that & hoping to NOT get a 6am call saying that school is canceled again. I actually want to go back to school/work now. So Mother Earth, please leave us alone.

PS- Readers, I also apologize for consecutive weather-related posts. Clearly that’s the only kind that has been occurring in my life. Hopefully Mother Earth will hear my prayer & give my warm weather back.  :)
