I can’t believe this weekend is already over. Is it just me or is the time flying by quicker than before? It’s really difficult to realize that I am facing the last day of February – meaning I have two weeks until spring break, which I will actually take a full-week break, & roughly about 2 months until the end of 2nd semester grad school. Panic officially commences.
Anyway, I had an enjoyable time at Equity & Diversity Conference on Saturday, listening Hill Harper’s inspirational speech on self-development towards future. I had to chuckle a little bit when everybody pulled out their cameras when he came out (I also did that) but was soon calmed by his passionate speech. I was really inspired by his assertiveness towards developing a powerful oneself & the idea of mutual destiny.

I spent rest of the weekend with Z, who was already in town Friday evening, just relaxing. Okay – when I say relaxing, it means eating (a lot), taking frequent/long naps (like 5 hours), & being truly lazy. Going to an all-you-can-eat-sushi/other Asian food & Ihop trip surely contributed well to our frequent naps. But it was all worth it.

I was particularly thankful to Z for helping me replace the water filter, carry heavy groceries (I purposely bought heavy stuff), & drive to places even though he endured the 5-hour driving come & go. Isn’t he so generous? I think so, too. :)
In return I did his laundry. I think he would appreciate that.
What has March stored in for you? March is an exciting month for me because I get to
[1] have a week-long spring break, which I declared long ago to my boss.
[2] see my parents & my sweet brother!! They will be visiting me. :)
[3] go to ACPA conference which is the biggest conference for student affairs practitioners (I’m excited to learn!)
[4] go to Las Vegas for a wedding.
As a result my money is going into drain thanks to rising fuel cost which led to higher airfare. But I can’t always complain, right? I am truly elated about forthcoming opportunities although it will be month where I am hardly around in Denton. I think I will be spending like one weekend at home & that’s it.
