Reunion with my family

Being able to spend some time with my family is the greatest thing one could ask for during the weekend, especially after a stressful week. Yep, I had that. Mommy, daddy, and Wonho (grandma couldn't come) came to Lubbock to visit me - I wasn't able to see them for almost two months until now. I was terribly homesick, despite my everyday-busyness to forget about it, and I missed being able to tell all the happenings at school to them in person.

So I talked a lot...I might have been a little too loud and obnoxious at the restaurant...haha. Waiting for table in Lubbock is always so terrible. I almost sense that every household in this town dine outside whenever we try to. Waiting at least 30 minutes is usually a must. We weren't going to deal with that, so we began to prefer for more homey-feeling, Asian restaurants. Since yesterday, we went to every possible major Asian restaurants possible - Saigon Cafe (by the way, they loved it!), Lin's Buffet (for last night's dinner), and then Thai Thai for today's lunch. I know, we went out all hardcore Asian.

Finally, I introduced them to my favorite local coffee house, Day Break (it was mentioned a lot in my previous posts). The tastes are much more sophisticated than that of Starbucks, and the atmosphere is so great. Without a doubt, they loved it. Moreover, I was happy to pay for all of their coffees. I think they agree with that too.

About half hour ago, on a rainy day, my family headed back to El Paso. I was extremely sad and lonely but it's okay. Three weeks from now, I will be making a trip to El Paso. More stories about that in the future.

P.S - I was sad about not being able to take pictures of their visit. I really wanted to but couldn't find a good timing for it. There's always a next time, I suppose.
