[This is Z's version...]
On our 4th day at San Diego (St. Patty's Day), Wonjee decided to sleep in and we did not get started until 11:30am. We promptly got ready and left for brunch of course, we found this neat little hole-in-the-wall establishment known as Kono's Cafe. It was packed!!! But the wait was well worth it. We both ordered two big breakfasts. And that is what we just got - humongous portions at an affordable price!
{Big Breakfast #1 and #2...so big}
"Apparently they haven't raised prices for 1,078 consecutive days." It was delicious. I completed my meal of course, but poor Wonjee could not.
Next, we journeyed to the end of Point Loma where the Cabrillo National Monument was. This was where the Spanish captain, Rodriguez Cabrillo, landed in 1542. This was one of the most scenic in all of San Diego. Since it was on a high point, there was a clear view of the vast ocean and beaches and on contrast of view of San Diego's city as well.
The weather was beautiful: clear skies with a hint of cool breeze. Wonjee and I explored the military history of this monument as well as to go look at the old Point Loma's light house.

{Wonjee kept taking pictures of the flowers...I don't know why}
{The old lighthouse - they built a new one because ships kept crashing}
{Isn't Wonjee cute?}

After walking, for about an hour or so, we drove down to the tide pools but did not have the energy to walk around. Instead we admired the view of the ocean from our car and promptly took a nap.
After a gratifying nap, we headed back to our place. Wonjee didn't feel so well so she took a nap. After she rested for awhile, we woke up and headed to Panera Bread...I ordered too much bread. We concluded the night by walking through the mall close by.
It was an eventful day where we had the opportunity to admire San Diego's scenic environment. I hope Wonjee feels better. [Wonjee: I do feel better.]
PS- Happy Birthday, Grandma (El Paso Grandma)!
